This week I have a guest post on Claudia McFie’s blog down in New Zealand. Claudia became a friend back in 2012 when she posted on her favorite Christian books and included my Kneeling with Giants in her top ten. I found myself in some very fine company.
Since then I’ve done a Skype session with her small group when they were praying their way through that book. More recently she joined the Launch Team for my new book Love Your Bible: Finding Your Way to the Presence of God with a 12th Century Monk.
(By the way, she’s giving away a paperback copy of Love Your Bible to someone who leaves a comment on my post on her blog. Just click through to participate!)
Here’s the start…
When I went to work on my new book, I thought the counter-cultural bit was asking 21st century Christians to learn from a 12th century monk. I had no idea that the biggest stretch would be the invitation in the first part of the title: Love Your Bible! Alas, many do not.
There are lots of reasons loving the Bible seems like a stretch today… click here to read the rest.
